After breakfast at the hotel, we will spend the day discovering the Gulf of Tigullio: Portofino, with its elegant harmony and its brightly coloured buildings overlooking the sea, and Santa Margherita Ligure, a town famous for its pastel-coloured facades and its fantastic “lungomare”. In the afternoon, we will return by boat to Rapallo, a town with vestiges of the past located in the centre of the Gulf of Tigullio. In the afternoon, transfer to the hotel in La Spezia and free time.

Breakfast at the hotel and free time to visit La Spezia, starting from its charming promenade and port. The city also offers a rich cultural history, with the Castello di San Giorgio overlooking the landscape and museums like the Naval Technical Museum. Its lively squares, fresh fish restaurants, and proximity to natural parks such as the Cinque Terre National Park make it a fascinating destination. La Spezia is also the ideal starting point for discovering the Cinque Terre: to experience them at their best, you can book our optional activity dedicated to these picturesque villages on the Ligurian coast, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Optional excursion: Cinque Terre

Departure by boat or train, depending on weather conditions, to the Cinque Terre. Over the centuries, human intervention has shaped the territory by building the famous terraces that make use of the geography of its hills, creating one of the most beautiful and typical landscapes of Liguria. Guided tour of Manarola, a true urban gem, with its charming harbor and a collection of pastel-colored houses; Vernazza, considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy that has preserved its long maritime tradition; its natural harbor confirms this with its amphitheater-like shape opening towards the sea. Finally, Monterosso, the westernmost and most populous of the Cinque Terre. It is located in the center of a small natural gulf, consisting of two areas: the historic center to the east and the more modern and touristy part to the west. In the afternoon, return to the hotel.
